Standard Bank Eswatini Launches Digital Branch

Eswatini is our home and we drive her growth. At Standard Bank we live and breathe this mission. We further believe that to drive the growth of the Kingdom we must harness the opportunities that global technological advancements have created.

On the 1st October 2020, we launched our first digital branch in Siteki, Lubombo Region. This was a landmark occasion that confirms the unprecedented times we are living in and the changes we have to make to continue serving our customers in the Kingdom.

As a bank we have also taken up the challenges of the global pandemic as an opportunity to leverage the digital technology available to us to take unchartered paths to find new ways to make our collective dreams and goals possible. We are more committed to make conscious and deliberate investments in developing digital capabilities that will ensure financial inclusion for all Emaswati and allow for secure, convenient and affordable banking solutions for saving, transacting and lending.

Furthermore, we are embracing hope, assurance and optimism about the future for Standard Bank’s customers, the people of Siteki and Emaswati. Hope for a brighter financial future and sustainability for all. That is why the launch of our new digital branch in Siteki was such an important and auspicious event. In many ways it cements that Standard Bank is always thinking about innovative and useful ways to make banking simple, bring the bank closer to the people who need it and make the experience of being a bank customer a very positive one.

It also demonstrates that as Emaswati we are making progress. Emaswati are ready to embrace new digital technologies. This support from our customers and stakeholders has made us bold in expanding our digitization journey and implementing a unified digital strategy.

We are excited to contribute to the development that is happening in Siteki and the Lubombo Region. There has been public outcry for the need for a Standard Bank branch in the area. We have heard you and we are committed to improving how we interact with our valued customers, that is why the digital branch is fully operational 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.
